dc.description.abstract | The present study demonstrates the effect of the different morphological types on the cold crushing strength (CCS) of heat-treated iron ore pellets. Blends with different iron ore oxides morphologies were subjected to grinding, filtering and pot grate tests on industrial scale trials. Results of grinding tests showed the hematite-goethite aggregates the most influent one on energy consumption. The martitichematite content was straightly related to the final moisture and filtration productivity. The hematitegoethite aggregates, therefore the goethite content, influences CCS, being the lower the goethite content, the higher the values of CCS. | pt_BR |
dc.description.abstracten | El presente estudio demuestra la influencia del efecto de los diferentes tipos morfológicos sobre la resistencia a frío de mineral de hierro tratados térmicamente. Las mezclas se prepararon con diferentes óxidos de hierro de diversos tipos morfológicos y luego se sometieron a pruebas de molienda, filtración y ensayos de quema a escala industrial. De las pruebas de molienda, se mostraron que el consumo de energía se ve directamente afectado por las morfologías que componen la mezcla. El contenido de hematita martítica está directamente relacionado con la humedad final y la productividad. Una mezcla con un contenido de goetita más bajo da como resultado valores más altos de resistencia a la compresión a frio. | pt_BR |
