Item Combining an evolutionary algorithm with data mining to solve a single-vehicle routing problem.(2006) Santos, Haroldo Gambini; Ochi, Luiz Satoru; Marinho, Euler Horta; Drummond, Lúcia Maria de AssumpçãoThe aim of this work is to present some alternatives to improve the performance of an evolutionary algorithm applied to the problem known as the oil collecting vehicle routing problem. Some proposals based on the insertion of local search and data mining (DM) modules in a genetic algorithm (GA) are presented. Four algorithms were developed: a GA, a GA with a local search procedure, a GA including a DM module and a GA including local search and DM. Experimental results demonstrate that the incorporation of DM and local search modules in GA can improve the solution quality produced by this method.Item PLATEM : a method for mobile applications testing.(MARINHO, E. H.; RESENDE, R. S. F. de. PLATEM : a method for mobile applications testing. The Institution of Engineering and Technology, v. 11, n. 6, p. 319-328, dez. 2017. Disponível em: . Acesso em: 03 mai. 2018., 2017) Marinho, Euler Horta; Resende, Rodolfo Sergio Ferreira deMobile applications are becoming more and more pervasive. The increase in the amount of mobile applications is accompanied by a growing demand of quality. Software testing is considered an important activity in this context. The authors propose a method named platform for testing mobile applications (PLATEM) and its supporting tool, named PLATOOL, for assisting developers in the automation of system test. PLATEM and PLAtem supporting TOOL (PLATOOL) are able to deal with events of the mobile applications during the automation of system test. One important aspect of PLATEM and PLATOOL is to take advantage of the association of software quality assurance tests and test-driven design tests. Their initial results indicate a promising approach that can be improved and extended to other mobile platforms.
